Ad Library reconnaissance Ref AR-050 · signal: local-only
Privacy policy

Nothing leaves your browser.

Last updated: 5 July 2026

AdRecon is a local-only Chrome extension. It does not transmit, sell, or share user data. There is no server, no account, and no analytics. Website content from Meta Ad Library searches is processed and stored locally in your browser only.

What we collect

Nothing is sent anywhere. AdRecon has no backend and makes no network requests of its own. It reads the public Meta Ad Library page you are already viewing and stores the results locally in your browser.

What is stored, and where

Everything AdRecon saves lives in your browser only, via Chrome's chrome.storage.local and your local Downloads folder:

This data never leaves your machine. You can clear it any time by removing niches on the dashboard or clearing the extension's site data.

Permissions, and why

Network activity

AdRecon makes no outbound requests. It observes data the Ad Library page itself loads (to read ads you scroll past) but sends nothing out. Media thumbnails shown in reports are hotlinked from Meta's own CDN and are only fetched by your browser when you view a report.

Third parties

None. No trackers, no third-party scripts, no advertising or analytics SDKs.

Children

AdRecon is a professional tool for advertisers and is not directed at children.

Changes
